Applying for financial aid after your first year

I know that some people don't apply for financial aid as freshman because they know that in some schools, applying for need-based aid as freshman significantly decreases their chances of getting accepted!
Maybe you're thinking, "I'll get accepted, then apply for financial aid next year".
NOPE, not gonna work. Most schools don't offer financial aid for students later on, because they known some students think like that and they need to protect themselves.

If you cannot afford to sponsor your education, I suggest you think of other sources of financing your education, alternatively, transfer to a cheaper school or a school that would award you financial aid.

Some financial aid sources for international students here.
Good luck!
